  • Read-a-Thon

    W.A. Wright Parents/Guardians!

We are excited to announce our biggest PALS fundraiser of the year…a Read-a-Thon! Reading will begin on September 8th and continue until September 22nd , the day of our in-school celebration.

Our goal is for each student to read at least 300 minutes (either completing the reading themselves, or being read to) over the two-week period. Minutes read at home or at school count (or anywhere else your student chooses to read ). We also have a goal of raising $18,000 to help our school by providing educational programs and needed equipment, supporting our teachers, administration, staff, and students, and funding school-wide and family events.

There will be school-wide rewards along the way (see details on the back of this page) as well as rewards for top individual readers, top individual earners, and top reading and earning classes! It’s going to be exciting! J

Please read through the instructions on the back side of the colored flyer to learn how to register your student on mybooster.com. mybooster.com is where funds can be donated and minutes read will be recorded. Donations can also be given in cash or by check. 100% of cash or check donations will come directly to PTO/PALS to support the school. Checks can be made out to W.A. Wright Elementary PTO/PALS, ATTN: Alicia Burnett, PTO/PALS Treasurer.

If you have any further questions, please reach out to the PTO/PALS Board through our email address: wawpalsboard@gmail.com.

    Happy Reading!
