Library Policies

  • In order to keep our limited library accessible to all students, the following policies apply to Stoner Creek Elementary:

    1. Students in kindergarten and first grade will be able to check out one book per class, after being taught how to care for the books. Students in grades 2-5 will be able to check out two books each time they visit the library.

    2. The loan period is one week.

    3. Students will be encouraged to return books in a timely fashion, but no fines will be assessed for overdue books.

    4. Students are responsible for paying for lost or severely damaged books. Molded books will be considered severely damaged and must be paid for by the student.

    5. Students may renew a book one time provided there is no wait-list for that book. If there is a wait-list, the student must return the book, and their name will be added to the wait-list.

    6. All books that are due must be brought back in order for the student to check out any other books.

Meet the Librarian

  • Mrs. Donna Michael

My name is Donna Michael. This will be my second year as the Stoner Creek library media specialist. Prior to becoming the library media specialist, I was a classroom teacher for twenty-seven years, with the last twenty-one years being at Stoner Creek.

I am married with two grown sons who went through Stoner Creek, who loved their time as Bobcats, and were blessed with great teachers throughout their time at Stoner Creek.

I loved my time in the classroom and all the relationships I built with my students.  As the librarian, I enjoy getting to know all of the students, and helping our entire school community find the materials they need. It is my personal goal to help our students develop a love of reading that lasts a lifetime. I look forward to opening our new media center this fall.
